Escape-room clue flow planner
Arrange your own escape-room clues into dependency stages. Detect missing IDs and cycles before printing organizer cards.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
This activity is for entertainment and organizing informal games. Random assignments and entered skill scores do not measure personal worth or guarantee fairness.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.
Result and workspace
Use the start button to open your result or activity.
How it works
Use a topological traversal of prerequisite IDs. Clues with all prerequisites resolved enter the next stage; a remaining cycle is rejected. The tool organizes your puzzle content and does not invent secure locks or assess physical safety.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Stages: 3
| Stage | Clue ID | Clue text |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | A | Find the first envelope |
| 2 | B | Decode the number |
| 2 | C | Find the hidden symbol |
| 3 | D | Open the final box |
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
