France family quotient cap scenario
Compare tax before and after household quotient parts, with a separately entered cap on the benefit. Example bands and cap are illustrative.
Your inputs
Start with the example values, then replace them with your own. For tables, keep the vertical bar separators and use a dot for decimals.
Illustrative inputs are not certified current rates or an entitlement decision. Confirm the country, year, eligibility and contract. This limited model is not a tax return, payroll service or financial/legal advice. Do not act on it without verifying the applicable rules.
Tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted by this tool. Existing site analytics and advertising services have their own privacy terms.

How it works
Apply the same marginal schedule to income per part, then multiply by parts. Compare with baseline-part tax and limit the reduction to the entered total cap. Special half-parts, supplementary reductions, decote and credits are not applied; this is a transparent quotient scenario, not a complete French return.
Worked example
These sample results use the original example inputs in the form. They do not change when you edit your inputs; your own result appears in the workspace.
- Tax before quotient benefit: 8000
- Uncapped quotient tax: 6000
- Allowed modeled benefit: 2000
- Capped quotient tax scenario: 6000
Read the result carefully
Results depend on the values and assumptions shown above. Change one input at a time to see its effect. A blank or unavailable result means the data does not support a calculation; it is not zero.
